The American Lung Association, writes in a post on its website that
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved more flavored e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches for sale in the United States. This includes fruit flavors like mango and blueberry. This is a major change in the FDA's stance on flavored tobacco products, according to the American Lung Association.
Harold Wimmer, president and CEO of the American Lung Association, said in a statement: “After years of recognizing the dangers that flavored e-cigarettes pose to youth, it is deeply troubling to see the FDA ignore the scientific evidence and change course.”
The Lung Society refers to a survey on youth use that shows that almost 90% of young people (87,6%) use e-cigarettes that are flavored products. Fruit flavors are most popular.
